Science Fit - Styrian research for Styrian small and medium-sized enterprises
Cooperations with science increase the competitiveness of companies. However, there is often a lack of support in the initiation phase, which often makes small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with no experience of university cooperation in particular shy away from collaboration. The "Science Fit" project provides a remedy here. The University of Graz, together with the Graz University of Technology, the University of Leoben, Joanneum Research and FH Campus 02, approaches Styrian SMEs, identifies concrete questions and problems of the companies and provides scientific expertise in order to systematically promote the dissemination and implementation of research results in the companies.
The project managers are the knowledge transfer offices of the above-mentioned institutions. In addition to company visits, expert meetings and regional information events, the "Meet Hidden Champions" company contact fair is organized once a year exclusively for Styrian SMEs as part of "Science Fit", where lesser-known companies can also present themselves to students and graduates.
