Knowledge Transfer Center South
The Knowledge Transfer Center South (WTZ Süd) sees itself as a mediator of know-how and knowledge between university research, science, business and society. The competencies and know-how of the cooperation partners from various fields are bundled, optimized, expanded and made more accessible to the economy and society through new, innovative, creative and transdisciplinary approaches.
In its cooperation projects, WTZ Süd pays special attention to the development and expansion of exploitation potentials and the transfer of knowledge. In addition, the transfer of knowledge between research institutions, business and society is to be facilitated in the fields of technology, business, medicine, art, humanities, social and cultural sciences.
The cooperation partners
Six universities and three universities of applied sciences from Styria and Carinthia pool their competencies and know-how in the field of knowledge transfer in the WTZ Süd. The WTZ South is supported by aws with funds from the National Foundation for Research, Technology and Development (Austria Fund). The merger creates synergies, increases visibility and facilitates access to university knowledge. Graz University of Technology coordinates the WTZ South.
