Courses for Doctoral Students at the Technical University of Graz - Funding and Grant Proposals, Inventions and Technology Exploitation

Inhalt: In SS 2024 the TU Graz - Research & Technology House offers - 2 courses for Doctoral Students on the topics of Funding and Grant Proposals and Inventions and Technology Exploitation. Due to popular demand, “Funding and Grant Proposals” will be offered with two groups. Registration necessary. Both courses are open to students of other universities as well. Students who are registered for a degree programme at a different Austrian university and wish to take examinations at TU Graz must sign up as co-registered students (“Mitbeleger”). |

The aim is to address the following questions: 1. How do I protect scientifically or technically oriented research results (inventions)?, 2. How do I protect other research results such as ideas, know-how, software and results of literature and art? 3. How is intellectual property exploited at the universities and what are the options for further development? How do I benefit from this? |

OpenInnoTrain Impact Through Research Master Class 2024

Inhalt: The master class is focused on educating researchers, research professionals and practitioners regarding the role of research in generating societal impact. The OIT Impact Master Class welcomes applications from all over Graz Universities, research institutions, practitioner communities and across disciplines. Applicants should hold a PhD/Doctorate and be an early postdoctoral researcher (with a maximum of 5 years of full-time research experience measured from the date of award of the first doctoral degree). |

CD-Labors betreiben anwendungsorientierte Grundlagenforschung in Kooperation mit Unternehmenspartnern, wobei ein wissenschaftlicher Freiraum für die Wissenschafter:innen besteht. Die Finanzierung erfolgt gemeinsam durch die öffentliche Hand und die Unternehmen. Im Webinar erhalten Sie Informationen zum Fördermodell der CD-Labors und zur Antragstellung. |

Patent search with public databases

Inhalt: In science and technology, a substantial amount of information cannot be found in scientific literature but is exclusively “hidden” in patent literature. Searching patent literature requires specific knowledge, which you can acquire in the course “Patent search with public databases”. This course, held in English, is offered in cooperation between the Austrian Patent Office, the University of Graz and Graz University of Technology. |
